Copperplate Fonts
The Copperplate style is based on cursive handwriting commonly seen in the 18th and 19th Century. These fonts mimic calligraphy done with a sharp pointed nib or quill. They are characterized by strong slopes, elegant capitals and connected characters. Notably, Copperplate is the style in which the Declaration of Independence is printed.
