Caslon Titling
The Caslon™ types, designed in the eighteenth century by British punchcutter and typefounder William Caslon, are known for their beauty and strong yet delicate character. Caslon Titling is cited as England's first original typeface - prior to its appearance, English printers had typically used Dutch types in their work. Although inspired by those early imports from Holland, Caslon's creations were arguably more interesting and varied. Caslon Titling was released by Monotype for hot metal typecasting in 1932, and was based on the types of Stephenson Blake (which had taken over the Caslon Foundry). Its open, wide letterforms are clear and graceful, and lend a decided air of elegance to large text sizes and display typography. Character Set: Latin-1
