Century Old Style Bold Italic font

Century Old Style™ Bold Italic was developed in 1906 for American Type Founders by the father-and-son team of Linn Boyd and Morris Fuller Benton. Although named a Century type for marketing purposes, this Modern design was more closely related to the work of Alexander Phemister, a Scottish punchcutter associated with the Miller & Richard (Edinburgh), Bruce (New York), and Dickinson (Boston) type foundries in the eighteenth century. Also known as a Scotch Roman, Century Old Style Bold Italic successfully combines the artistry and finesse of Phemister and the Bentons, and is an excellent choice for text typography. Character Set: Latin-1
