Designed as a typewriter face for IBM, Courier New™ was re drawn by Adrian Frutiger for IBM Selectric series. A typical fixed pitch design, monotone in weight and slab serif in concept. Courier New Regular - Vietnamese is used to emulate typewriter output for reports, tabular work and technical documentation.
Courier New Regular contains an extensive character set: Latin-1, WGL Pan-European (Eastern Europe, Cyrillic, Greek and Turkish), Arabic, Hebrew and Vietnamese. It will appear in the font menu as "Courier New".
