Frutiger was originally designed for use on signs in the new Charles de Gaulle Airport at Roissey, outside of Paris. The straightforward sans serif shapes of the Frutiger font family lend themselves well to both text and display setting. The Frutiger font family was issued by Linotype in 1986. All Frutiger fonts contain a number in their name.
