Designed by Frederic W. Goudy in 1918, Goudy Modern™ Regular was somewhat of a departure from the American typographic master™s other namesake types. Goudy Modern Regular was modeled on letterforms used by French engravers during the eighteenth century. Called a Modern design, the typeface retains the Old Style feel so prevalent in Goudy™s work. Goudy Modern Regular™s smaller x-height and shorter capitals feel spacious and refined. Goudy designed this typeface a bit bolder so that it would hold up in display typography, but it™s still light enough to use comfortably in text settings. Character Set: Latin-1
