Grotesque Font > Grotesque Family (5 fonts)
Designed in 1926, this Grotesque™ Family was among the first sans serifs developed for hot metal machine typesetting. Because they looked odd to many readers, the sans serif types introduced in nineteenth-century England were called Grotesque™ (Grotesk in German). The clean Grotesque family features a number of weights with several matching italics and condensed and extended variants. The lighter weights work nicely in short texts; the bolder styles are excellent for display purposes, where they exhibit a distinctive, assertive character. Character Set: Latin-1
