Characteristics of Old English Text ™ font: There are two main kinds of what people tend to call Gothic letters: the German Frakturs and the English Blackletter. The Frakturs fonts have an "x" that looks like an "r" with a mysterious disease, and the Blackletter fonts have fiddly bits in the middle like those you see in this Old English Text fonts. Little is known about the history of the Old English Text font, but it has been beautifully made. Old English Text fonts looks similar to the famous Cloister Black font designed by Morris Fuller Benton in 1904.
