Old Style™ Family is a sophisticated nineteenth-century renovation of Caslon Old Face. This polished text face was imbued with the finer characteristics of the Modern styles. This timeless design originated at Edinburgh's Miller & Richard foundry in 1860, and was recut in 1901 by the Monotype Type Drawing Office. By the turn of the century, this Old Style Family rivaled the Moderns in popularity. Although traditional Old Style types had fallen out of favor, this luminous interpretation was simply too beautiful to fade away.
