Richmond was designed by Jim Parkinson. The Richmond font family is a geometric sans serif in the spirit of ‘Metro’ by W.A. Dwiggins, ‘Erbar’ by Jakob Erbar and ‘Underground’ by Edward Johnston. The Richmond fonts evolved from several projects, including a Condensed Metro family Jim designed for the San Francisco Chronicle and display sans families for the Montreal Gazette and the Staten Island Advance.
