This month we are pleased to showcase a variety of new fonts recently added to AscenderFonts.com from a variety of our type designer and font foundry partners:
Introducing the Gallegos™ Pro typeface family from the folks at Pro Fonts. Gallegos Pro is a classical, pen-drawn upright script useful for many applications, including book titles, advertisements or any kind of display work.
The Stanford™ font was designed for Pro Fonts by Ralph M. Unger. The strong, geometric letterforms of this typeface incorporate a heavy outline and were inspired by college and university sportswear, making Stanford an excellent choice for work associated with athletics and sports activities.
The Technotyp™ typeface family is a new digital revival from URW++. Technotyp originates from the hot metal face designed by the German typographer Herbert Thannhaeuser (1898-1963) for the East German type foundry Typoart in Dresden.
The Zentenar Fraktur™ font was developed by Ralph M. Unger and is brought to us by URW++. The name of this blackletter font family was chosen to celebrate the centennial of the Bauer Foundry, Frankfurt am Main, in 1937. Ernst Schneidler probably created the most beautiful of all fraktur fonts. They are the fruit of countless calligraphic drawings and of many years of professional experiences. Zentenar Fraktur became in its time the workhorse among German blackletter fonts.
The Raldo™RE Pro font was designed by Marc Musenberg in 2000 for the URW++ foundry and recently updated to this new version. Raldo RE Pro is a durable sans serif typeface produced with legibility in mind, This typeface family includes 10 weights and styles in addition to a versatile set of OpenType™ features.
NEW FROM FONTS.COM
This month we are pleased to showcase two new font families available at our partner site www.Fonts.com. Each new font also includes versions available as web fonts from the www.Webfonts.Fonts.com service.
Vesta™ and Big Vesta are two powerhouse typeface families designed by Gerard Unger. Each family has seven weights, ranging from an elegant light to an authoritative black – each with a complementary cursive italic. To supplement the large Pro font character set, which supports most Central European and many Eastern European languages, the Vesta family also includes small caps and old style figures.
The Rotis® typeface family was designed by Otl Aicher and is one of our most popular fonts. The new Rotis II Sans was developed by Robin Nicholas and Alice Savoie to address limitations in the original by adding new weights, OpenType features and extending the character set. The new Rotis II Sans family comprises 14 typefaces: seven weights, ranging from extra light to black, each with a companion italic.
