New! Easier searching & browsing with Type Style categories.
Over the past two years, the AscenderFonts catalog has grown significantly to include fonts from a variety of popular type designers and foundries. We are proud to introduce some new features that make it easier for you to browse, search, and find inspiration from our extensive collection.
Our new Type Style page now includes breakdowns by type style category. This feature makes it easy to find particular types of script, display, serif, sans serif, pro, and picture style fonts. We are still busy going through the AscenderFont catalog, but we wanted to share what we’ve done so far.
So this month we decided to showcase some wonderful fonts from some of these new type style categories. Enjoy!
Display Fonts - Children
Tucker Script from Ascender Fonts was designed by Steve Matteson. This informal handwriting script was named after a yellow Labrador Retriever. Steve even added a couple of extra characters to pay homage to the namesake - a bone, dog bowl and an image of Tucker himself! Tucker Script has a very youthful appearance and is great for projects that need a childlike personality.
Display Fonts - Distressed
Busted Pro comes from the Canada Type font foundry. This crazy, all over the place font is made up of 4 interchangeable sets. When pieced together you can hear them roar or sometimes even scream!
Script Fonts - Copperplate
Greyton Script was designed by Gerhard Schwekendiek for Letraset. This beautiful script font has dramatic capital letters and flowing lower case characters. Greyton is a perfect font for invitations, announcements, and projects that require a formal appearance.
Script Fonts - Formal
Canada Type brings us Silk Script. This beautiful, elegant and graceful script font is an elaborate expansion of the 1956 Helmut Matheis script called Primadonna.
Sans Serif Fonts - Square Sans
Nicotine was designed by the mighty Chank! A fun display font that works well for posters or large format headings.
Serif Fonts - Slab Serif
Straight out of the exljbris Font Foundry and designed by Jos Buivenga, Museo Slab is a robust slab serif with Museo's friendliness. The Museo Slab font family contains a total of 12 fonts. Each font contains approximately 455 glyphs with extensive OpenType features: ligatures, case-sensitive forms, proportional & tabular oldstyle figures, proportional & tabular lining figures, fractions, superiors, inferiors, numerators and denominators. The Museo Slab 500 and 500 Italic fonts are available for FREE download!
