The Comic Sans font is a casual script typeface designed by Vincent Connare (b. 1960) who was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He has worked as an in-house type designer and typographic engineer at Microsoft Corporation for whom he designed Comic Sans and Trebuchet in Redmond, Washington State, and at Agfa of Wilmington, Massachusetts.

The Comic Sans font casual but legible face has proved very popular with a wide variety of people. Although the Comic Sans Font Family might be seen as a novelty typeface, which is great for titles, it's also extremely readable on-screen at small sizes, making it a useful text face.
