Friar Pro is a brand new revival of a truly American design by this country's most prolific type designer, Frederic W. Goudy. Friar was originally completed in 1937 and was a ground breaking approach to type design. Friar combines various lettering styles into a type design rather than slavishly follow a single model. Friar Pro is a digital tribute by Steve Matteson to one of Goudy’s most beautiful typefaces. Friar Pro includes advanced OpenType features including alternative letterforms, ligatures and ornaments designed by Goudy for creating dignified typographic arrangements.

Friar Pro is a delightful typeface that can embellish or enhance a variety of documents ranging from certificates and greeting cards to menus and official papers.
